What is a dental implant:
A dental implant is a small screw made of titanium, which is inserted into the jaw bone whilst the patient is under local anaesthetic. It subsequently knits painlessly with existing bone and forms a secure foundation for new, natural looking teeth. This technique can be used to provide a permanent to solution for anyone who is looking to replace missing teeth – from a single tooth all the way to the replacement of entire upper or lower jaw. Unlike traditional bridgework implant supported dentures look like and feel like natural teeth allowing us to offer our patients freedom from ill fitting or uncomfortable dentures, as well as a new found confidence in their smile. At Cox’s Dental Health Care all of our implant work is undertaken by Steve Cox, who is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology UK.
